It was a rainy, but super-informative PTA meeting on 11/15. Our specialists did a great job telling us about how they enrich our students' learning beyond academics. Check out the minutes. The key takeaway from Mrs. Williams is that she wants us, parents and caregivers, present in school: 

 

  • Ms. Williams is eager to have more volunteers in the school! Parents and caregivers are encouraged to volunteer in the lunch room for as little as 30 minutes a week. Or they might ask their student's teacher or specialist how they can help.
    • (Ms. Singletary would welcome volunteers in the art room! And the PE teachers especially love volunteers on Field Day in the spring!) 
  • Parents are welcome to have lunch with their child in the cafeteria.

FCPS accepts old instruments! FCPS can fix them up and you may be able to write the donation off on your taxes. Contact band teacher Ms. Meltzer if you have an instrument to donate.
